Yay! Good pointers, thanks. Don't know much about the MIDI side of things...any suggestions as to what software or websites are good at explaining (windows) laptop use with keyboards for beginners? I'm off to see if my Yamaha can cough up an electric piano sound and tremolo at the same time :)

Thanks, very good. Maybe you can tell us (even) more about changing the style you play when playing a Hamond or a Wulitzer.
(Nice cutting work of the video man, by the way :) )
really great help =]
Could you go into a bit more detail about pad sounds? that would be really useful for me =]
can any one tell me whats meant bt "MIDI"?
Musical Instruments Digital Interface
It's fairly old technology but still really good for communicating information between instruments and sound modules, laptops etc.
That had me laughing...a lot!! But good stuff. Thanks.
Next time, I agree, it would be excellent to get a fairly detailed description of what does and doesn't work in terms of using the different main keys styles, eg. Rhodes, Hammond etc. Having good synth sounds available is great but lots of classically trained pianists who serve in worship teams don't really know how to get the best out of each sound. A few basic tips on each sound would be brilliant.
thanx toby! and to wich country du belong?
Hi, I'm getting my Mac in June and am gonna use it as a MIDI controller for my keyboard, probably with an M-audio interface..I should probably know the answer to this, but would I connect my amp to my MacBook instead of my keyboard?
