Your Sunday Setlists!

Ok guys, im not sure if there is already a place for this but i decided to put this here just incase. (hopefully the moderators will put it in the right place).

Anyways, this is (hopefully) where you will post your worship setlists, so we can take influence and take an idea back to our church and try it out there and see what God does with it.

I shall start with a 3/4 song setlist that i have put together for this sunday. These 3/4 songs shall be at the start of our service before i hand over to our other worship leader but carry on playing guitar.

Here goes...hope you like.

Here For You (Matt Redman) in the Key of C
Set A Fire (United Pursuit Band) in the key of C
You're Beautiful (Phil Wickham[soul survivor 2009 version] in the key of C
Come Lord Jesus Come[All Who Are Thirsty) (kutless?) Chorus Snippet in the key of C

Each song easily flows into each other so there is no stop and starts. Here for you is a great song to open with as it has that big build up to it and has the lyrics where everyone comes together and says "we welcome you with praise". And then to go from that into "Set A Fire" is great, as we are now asking the lord to send his spirit, we welcome god and ask him to send us his spirit. We will then continue to worship into you're beautiful. The song change from set a fire is brilliant, the way we do it is, once the song has calmed down, we sing a few more "no place i would rather be" bits and then the riff of you're beautiful starts up with the acoustic or clean guitar behind it. Once them 3 songs come to a close, i decided to put a snippet of come lord jesus come in to just bring the set to a close and let peoples minds be filled with the spirit of God as they here what our speaker has to say about him. There we are then, hope you liked and will find this setlist useful somehow. Looking forward to seeing some of your ideas, cheers, Kevin :)

Alex, I'm loving that set, I'm rehearsing my Youth Band with some Bethel tracks at present, You are Good is coming on nicely. How does the congregation cope with the verses in Love Came Down (Bethel/Johnson), its one of those songs I'd love to do because of the chorus, but not sure the verses will work with conbgregation? Cheeeeeers.

Hi Steven, in relation to love came down, on sunday we only used the chorus and the tag, but we have used the verses before and it's been alright. I've found that people are generally better at picking songs up than we give them credit for.

Here are a couple of useful videos from Paul Baloche where he talks about introducing new songs:

Hope you are well,

On Sunday morning we sang
> There is Power in the Name of Jesus [C]
> To God Be the Glory (Fellingham) [C]
> One Thing Remains (Bethel) [F]
> I Belong [F]
>When I Survey (Kathryn Scott's version) [F]
>God I Look to You (Bethel) [B]
And the worship leader in the evening had unknowingly chosen a nearly identical list so we worshiped with these songs all over again! A great day - what a completely brilliant God.
