I'm a worship leader and the christian software company I run has been working on a worship team management web-app for our own use. Having spoken to a number of worship leaders at conferences and events we have had lots of requests to release it for them to use. So after a number of months of tidying it up and adding some new features, we are now ready for a private beta release.
The web app currently supports managing team members, calendar and events, rotas, media sharing and private messaging.
The current features were added in order to help us manage our own worship team of 20+ members. We were finding the organisation of rotas, knowing when people were away on holiday and generally communicating with our team on a weekly basis, difficult and time-consuming. Being a multi-cultural church, we also wanted find out other peoples musical influences and give them the ability to share media with the rest of the team. Our dotWorship app was written to solve these problems and now we are opening it to the public to start using and suggest future features that will help you manage your team more effectively. We also have an iPhone and Android app in development to along with the web-app.

I've had a really good play about with this app...
So far I'm liking it. It has some useful features which I need to figure out how we can use as a church
The response from feed back and bugs reports etc is really quick. Problems I found were remedied really quickly when I was messing about last night.

We are confident that we have now got most of the kinks straightened out now, so working on some new features now. Feedback of any kind is extremely welcome, we are passionate about what we do and want to create the best app that we can.

I've signed up for the beta and had a look. There's a few things more I'd need before it could actually be used by my team:
1. A discussion board. Being able to post media is one thing, but if I want the worship team to share and discuss things that aren't simply related to youtube/vimeo clips then I'd need a forum style thing to do it.
2. When you create an event and set a start time, it'd be nice if the end time automatically adjusted to be after the start time. There's no validation on start/end times either, so if you enter something that ends before the start time, it looks as though it's been created successfully, but then doesn't get inserted into the calendar.
3. The access rights - not all worship leaders at our church are responsible for maintaining the rota. The only access levels you get on this are "team member" or "worship leader". Perhaps another access category for those who are responsible for the rota - not all our worship leaders require that access (that might just be our church though, just a thought based on our situation).
4. Document store. The only media that seems usable are video clips. I'd like a document store where I can save electronic versions of sheet music/chords. Then, also the ability to add a "Set List" to an event, so I can link those sheets/chords to songs in the set list so people know what they're singing. Key fields for set list would be the order of songs, name of songs, musical key, media link (if there is one) and also music.
That's just what I've got from a quick play - it's a good starter, I like the style and feel of it, but to make it functional for our team the above are features/changes we'd definitely need.

Thanks for the feedback, it's all really appreciated.
1. We are thinking 'Media' probably needs to change to 'Share' as it has grown into a more forum like format in that you can post almost anything text or media wise.
2. We have just added a new calendar system with drag and drop events, one click event creation on the calendar and month/week and day views. This is one of the features that has had a lot of work put into it.
3. Access rights is something we are looking at, we generally based the access rights on how we work, so we are open to suggestions for a more flexible role system.
4. Document store is coming in the next release later this month. Tagging media to rotas will definitely be added around the same time.
We are now also out of private beta, so sign up is now open to everyone! DotWorship is growing everyday and getting better all the time, feedback is always welcome and encouraged :)
