Hi all,
My name is Mark Wilson and I helped produce the recent Worship Central live album. As well as recording and producing I also work for a company called Resound Media. The aim of Resound Media is to help develop and encourage worship leaders, Christian artists and bands.
Through artist mentoring, song writing, recording or simply giving advice we want to help artists, wherever they are at the moment, to expand and grow whatever they do. Resound has worked with worship leaders in local churches through to large Christian artists who tour the world.
We are always interested in seeing what people are up to, whether already touring or having just written their first song; our passion is to help encourage artists and leaders. What we want to do is use our experience to help passionate people do what they want to do with their talent.
If you think this is something you might like to hear more about then please email me (mark@resoundmedia.co.uk), I’d love to hear from you.
Many blessings,
Mark
Hi Singing Heart,
We are very happy to try and help in any way we can. If you want to email me (mark@resoundmedia.co.uk) with some ideas and thoughts then we can see what we might be able to do.
Many blessings,
Mark
This may be a longshot but I would be interested in seeing a compilation album of songs from those who frequent the forum with their song writing and uploads. There is a really great community of artists and musicians who are on here. It might be a cool way to see some of the Worship Central/Resound folks connect to those in a smaller local church context that have written some good songs. Obviously, there would need to be a process to screen the entries and search out the top 10-13 songs that would make it on the album but I think it would be fun to see a "contest" or competition with this as the prize!
Catalyst did a similar idea with the Catalyst Music Project: http://www.catalystmusicproject.com
I just wanted to throw the idea out there.
New Album, FIAT LUX, is on itunes now. For more information go to www.erikthien.com!!
great idea erik!
Hi Mark
the problem with producing, recording, mixing, mastering, is it cost so much.
i approached your director of your company in sheffield, and i still cant afford the rates.
even through they were not that much. this is a barrier for me moving forward in music ministry.
hey mr hatch
why not try saving up for it each month if you feel called to this?
or do some fundraising for it, it depends how great you want it to sound. theres a guy ive worked with lots who
charges £20 an hour, you could get at least one song recorded for under £100 with him.
God bless,
gav.
Alternately, if your songs are in regular use with your church, why not ask them if they're willing to stump up?

It's amazing what you can do with a mac, a midi interface and a reasonable pair of mics these days.

Hi Gavin
i could spend a bit more than 100, is this guy based in bristol where you are from?
because im based in london but i would be willing to travel to bristol because i know it quite well.
hi mr hatch,
yeh he's from bristol, he's really good. he's called pete rowley and his studio is attic attack studios, check out the link:
http://atticattackstudio.wordpress.com/
he has a piano, lots of mics and lots of other gear like a guitar pod and bass pod in the studio u can use, but you need to take other instruments like guitars, drums etc.
he's not a christian as far as im aware but thats a great chance to witness to him through the song.
why not drop him a line?
God bless,
gav.

Hello! I wonder if you can help me arrange and record my composition. I already composed numerous christian songs and some are in my own language. The problem is I don't have a recording studio. I just accompany myself with a regular guitar when I sing. I listened to the uploaded compositions here and they sound nice and clear... I don't think mine will sound like that because I don't have the proper gadgets to use in recording. So, can you help me with this? God bless you and your ministry!
