I'm 17 and will be leaving school Next summer I really feel like I want to carry on using my voice and music to worship God... I'm really interested in studying theology as well. I was wondering if Worship central is just events orif there is a training programme like a college sort of thing? If not does anyone know of anywhere were i might le equipped better to lead worship and also study theology?

thanks God bless

I've heard Soul Surivor are doing a kind of leadership-course-gap year-thingy, but it's not set up yet. You can sign up and they'll tell you details when they're decided

At Soul Survivor this year, in the Toolshed, there was a Nexus stand (i got a leaflet and had a bit of a chat with one of the guys there).

'Nexus is a one-year music training college that is designed to develop musicians into Godly individuals who can express their hearts to God and others through their instrument and the whole of their lives'
^ that's what it says in the leaflet.

go to www.nexustrust.co.uk for more info and a look around.
You learn more about your instrument and stuff, as well as doing the Bible in a year... music lessons along with Bible study etc. Not sure if it's for you or not, but certainly have a mooch if you want :)
It offers courses in Keys, Drums, Bass, Guitar, Vocals, and Sound Engineering.
I think it looks really good and i'll (hopefully) be going there in 3 years time.

I think the message have jsut set up something called Gentik. Google it. When i talked to Tim Owen, the guy that runs it, he said they have quite a few worship leaders train with them. You learn how to develop your gift but also your character by doing a variety of action work and bible study etc.
