Hello Ben, I like lots of things here: the mellow feel of the verse; the little piano hook; the lyric 'When the waves come crashing down You're in control'; the lyric 'When we go through troubled times He's still there'. I have a few suggestions on the lyrics: 1) 'Over all the earth' is a bit of a scramble to fit in. What about 'From the earth'? 2) Your second verse is about the fact that Jesus showed God's power when He was on earth. I presume that you are connecting that to the first verse - God is in control. I think that you need to make that connection clearer. If you change the first two lines of that verse (When Jesus Christ walked this world, You were part of him) it would also give you the opportunity to make the tune of these two lines match that of the first verse so that it is easier to sing. I would suggest something like: 'When darkness fell On the cross, Jesus knew, that your purposes Would be fulfilled' Not very great - I'm sure that you can come up with something better, but something like that might keep the sunlight fades/God in control/God with us in troubled times theme. 3) For the line 'in which I believe in' you need to get rid of the second 'in' 4) For the bridge, what about saying 'He is the one and only'? God bless, Ian
