Hey guys and girls,
This one's called 'To You Alone'; it's in the key of G.
Let me know what you think.
The lyrics are as follows:
I will give myself to You
In all devotion
In spirit and truth
For You demand my everything
I give my heart as an offering
To You alone
I bow before Your throne
King of the heavens
Friend of my heart
I’ll set my life apart
My one request
My only aim
Is that I’ll please You again and again
All earthly things
I lay to rest
In all I do, I’ll do my best
It look's like you don't have Adobe Flash Player installed. Get it now.

Great song mate. Not disimilar to a song I wrote a little while ago called 'You'. Very delicately done when kept acoustic. Restful. Nice finger picking. Probably more a 'sing to' than a congregation song but still great! Nice response, keep up the good work. :-)

Thanks Daniel! And thanks for posting 'I Long For You'. It's an effective song, kept powerfully simple in its acoustic form in combination with your vocals: I can imagine blowing people away with a full band though wow! Have you done that already?
Cheers,
Kev Yee
Hi Kevin,
nice song, really like the fingerpicking and some of those chords sound really nice.
Just one thing that stuck out to me that could maybe be tweaked is....
"For You demand my everything
I give my heart as an offering"
maybe you could do
For You demand my everything
I give my life/all as an offering
i know you dont mean this but some might see it as God demands my everything but im just going to give my heart, not my mind / soul / strength etc... :)

Ummm... haven't done 'I Long For You' with a full band yet. If you haven't already, check out our myspace to hear 'You are Good' with a full band. That's a bit of a taster of what we sound like. Tend just to keep it simple when playing ' I Long For You' live and very rarely do it in a church setting. Tried it once and didn't work as a congregation worship song. It's all a learning curve! :-D Thanks for the comment. Is it you playing the guitar in this song? If so, how long have you been playing, it sounds great! So chilled out!
Take it easy,
Daniel

Yes indeed it's all a learning curve. Yeah it's me strumming or picking away on the ol' 6-string. Been playing in earnest for about 10 years. Started out on keys but took the plunge to acoustic as there was a shortage at church at the time. Checked out 'You Are Good' on your myspace: liking your harmonies! Keep up the good work for His glory.
Kevin
