Tim Hughes - Love Shine Through album appreciation!

Just finished my first listen through to this and loving this album...

There's some musically creative, anthemic moments and ideas ('Saviour's Song' for one). 'Jesus Saves' remix is very nicely done for example. Real journey from being uplifted ('God is Coming' / 'Never Stop Singing') to reflection ('Keep The Faith' / 'Ecclesiastes' though love the build in both!) Very well produced and Scriptural, with some singable tunes that could cross over to churches. But most important it's a great worship album! Not yet sure of my favourite standout tunes as there's so much great stuff, although one of the worship leaders is going to use Counting On Your Name one week soon. I actually think it's got a great vibe and worth getting! (I have no affiliation with Worship Central or Tim Hughes either LOL!!)

People's thoughts?

yes a great album in my view. it gets better with each listen.
i like the keyboard parts a lot and the group vocals.
im not sure its hugely groundbreaking or original but still a great album.

my fav tracks are:

keep the faith
wake up
counting on your name
all glory

im still waiting for my copy but i heard the album at the beginning of january.

the standout tracks for me are

counting on your name
keep the faith
at your name
all glory

another album im really loving right is hillsong united aftermath

im loving the tracks father and take heart which we are singing in church for almost 2 months.

check out this album its really creative.

Massively enjoyed Ecclesiastes...what did people thing of the arrangement of "Love Shine Through"?

And they really pulled the stops out with some of the programming.

By far Tim's best album to date, every song seems to have a simplicity about it without being predictable. Really like the track Keep The Faith, such an epic, anthemic sound. Already doing Counting On Your Name and All Glory in our church which is going down really well

Very very well produced, its great to see a worship album that doesn't feel it has to limit its creativity in the production. I've been playing it on repeat since I got it. Particularly like "At Your Name (Forever) and Keep The Faith.

Strange, my post says 'posted deleted'... Anyways!

Yep Love Shine Through has quite a few layers, keys, synths, guitar sounds. Interesting kicking straight in with a strong vocal harmony line. Like the break down as you enter 'Here I stand, everything is yours...' Really like Ecclesiastes in terms of a builder

Agree with everyone on the 4 main standout tracks people have mentioned - though as said do like the two lively God is Coming and Never Stop Singing too.

Mr Hatch - yes, Aftermath is another great project - love some of the incredible builds that Hillsong have. I don't know what others feel, but these 2 albums just have a little bit more unique/layers of production which I'm really enjoying.

And then Passion Here For You is on its way... Clips from that sound good too. We're so spoiled! :)

I love the AFTERMATH!! its juast an amazing album, probably my personal favourite!! with LOVE SHINE THROUGH coming in a close second of course!! :-)

P.S does anyone know where you could get chord sheets for the songs on love shine through?? apart from the ones on worship central.... ?? anyone?
