Hey guys, I'm a 25 year old American man living in South Korea, whose wife has been teaching english for almost 2 years now... Been trying to figure out my lot in life, writing songs, and recording in my room. Some of my "figuring outs" have led me to some lonely places. In some cases these songs come from a place of running away from the "cliche" of the organized church (to my own demise) and realizing that some of us, myself included, have been trying to run away from the "typical" and try to label the organized church as some evil thing because of some way we may have been hurt by it, which in some cases was probably our own selfishness telling us that we had been wounded. The church has a lot of good about it that can't just be dropped off at the garbage pile. I've dropped the ball with my own righteousness in many areas and have so to the point of feeling so numb that I didn't seem to have a soul. So beyond all that, the freaking cool thing is this.... that I/we are daughters and sons of the Highest Divinity, and this Most Divine creator loves more than we could know, and he goes after us even when we break ranks... and when that thought sinks in... wow! So these songs talk about failures and Gods perfect grace on our lives, and how even when you think you've crossed the line, he pulls you back. I don't know if these are really congregational worship songs, but I hope by sharing what God has been showing me in my life that he can use these songs to meet someone that needs to hear it.
