Ok, not the most coolest of posts but I'm interested to know what software people use for projection and chord sheets. At the moment we have been using SongSmart and then words of worship but ideally I'd like something that works together. Any ideas folks

"One thing I have discovered recently - if you need to write melodies etc for the classical musos - is a programme called MuseScore. It's like a free version of Sibelius for writing sheet music. You can add chords & lyrics across the sheet also... we've been using to re-write the vocal parts for our carol service coming up. Found it pretty handy!"
I wish I discovered MuseScore before Sibelius. Problem is I discovered it afterwards and in comparison it just doesn't seem nearly as nice! :(
I started writing my own projection software and recently added support for printing out chord sheets, transposing songs and that sort of thing so I generally use that when I want to print something out. It's here if you want to take a look (http://code.google.com/p/quelea-projection/) - but I haven't yet been able to test it extensively on Mac at all, and it is all a work in process. Feel free to ask if you've got any questions though, it is all free / open source :)
We use pro presenter and have configured a second stage display to show the band the chords.
This is how we set it up, hope it helps.

Lol... a few people asked if I used Sibelius!
Yeah, there are a couple of things I wished MuseScore did, but I can work around them, and for someone like me who only very rarely writes out sheet music, it's not worth me spending the money on Sibelius. I can write stuff fast enough, and print PDFs off it, and even listen to it back to check my harmonies!
Beats writing it out by hand!
I'm going to look at your bit of software now. That sounds pretty handy...

MuseScore is really nice in its own right and I honestly think I'd love it if I hadn't used Sibelius first. It's me being picky more than anything else - and yes it definitely beats writing it by hand!
Any questions / suggestions with the software give me a shout (via here or PM or on the discuss list, whatever you prefer!) Next major step in it is adding a stage view with the chords on another output for the band - not sure when I'll get around to it however, I have a PhD to do which takes priority!
In terms of ProPresenter, I haven't used it but I have looked at it. As a piece of software it seems very powerful and extensive, the only problem I can really see is the price tag... most churches simply won't need all it provides and can get something that does do what they need for a lot cheaper!

Ours are split... Media team use EasyWorship, and the band just get their hands on whatever they can. I'm an advocate of playing without music & lyrics in front of you, so don't often have it there.
