I've written a new song and I've decided to post here instead of solely on my website so I can get more comments I hope!
It's called My Passion and I wrote it without realising about all the The Passion events were this week! :) I spent a bit of time trying to come up with a good word to write a song around and "Passion" hit me.
Lyrics/Chords:
Capo 1
Verse 1:
G
There's a passion in my heart
G
There's a passion that's alive
C
A passion to serve You God
Verse 2:
G
There's a hope that's in my heart
G
There's a hope that never dies
C
A passion to serve You God
Pre-Chorus:
G
A passion for You
D
A passion for You
C
A passion for You my God
Chorus:
G
This is my Passion
D
This is the way
Em
This is my life
C G
I'm gonna live it today

Hi David,
Thanks for posting this up. My initial thought is that this is a song about your passion, rather that about the God that makes you passionate. (If that makes sense...) What is it that makes you passionate about God? I'd stick that in the song.

Thanks Paul,
Thanks for the comments, understood :) God's love and acceptance has been a real blessing recently, I think the pre chorus is probably best to edit? Maybe:
A Passion for You
A Passion from Your love
A Passion from Your grace
etc.
