Hi all Total newbie to the the forum but just been to a recent Worship Central event at Dunfermline where they mentioned the site and the song writing challenge. What a great night of worship by the way !. Have just finished a new song last week so thought I would post it up. Its based around Psalm 62 and was written as a congregation worship song. My soul finds rest in God alone. He is my rock and my shield. My salvation is found in Him, All my fears to him I yield. You are my Rock and my Redeemer! My ever present help in times of trouble. You are my Rock and my Redeemer! A faithful God who is perfect and just. My hope is found in God alone. He is my strength and my song. In God I trust with all my heart, For He is loving and strong. Any thoughts/suggestions gratefully received God Bless Dougie

Hey Dougie! Nice song! Easy to listen to and super easy to pick up. I think it could be sped up just a little bit, not much... that wouldn't really change much though and is totally subjective. I didn't find anything to comment on with the lyrics. Focused and well done! I think because the song is more of a ballad it could use some more dynamic interest. Not sure how you'd want to do that; instrumental, or a bridge, or something to give the song a small melodic punch. But I think it would help. Good stuff!
