Alive in a clouded world of thought
Stumbling through the days mapped out for me
Not a lot to give, not a lot to say
But you take me anyway
Time to sign my heart on the dotted line
Go in further that i've been before
Seems that all i need can be found in you
Only one thing i can do
Lord i worship you
You are beautiful
Lord i worship you
You are beautiful
Soemthing rising up, deep inside
Awakening my soul
Finally i see, your hand guides me
You've opened my eyes
Just wrote this song after the worship central conference...it is really about how God has totally given me a newexcitment and passion for worship, even though i was/am going through times where things in my life have to change, and how he is worthy of our worship DESPITE our own circumstances. I havent written anything for a while, so it's a bit of a rough effort...any suggestions, etc would really bereally appreciated and beneficial to me. Thank you!

Hey Ash!
Like your other song I saw this one feels personal, again I like that in a song; I get tired of songs that feel too generic. I guess the generic can reach a broader audience tough, perhaps the preference of one style over the other is a matter of taste?
Anyway, it’s a really nice song. I think the opening lines are the weakest at the moment. Mostly because there are two statements (one about “cloudy” and one about “mapped”) that kind of say the same thing. I’d recommend trying to focus the song by replacing one of the lines with something to move the thought forward.
For this line, “Go in further that i've been before” (FYI, this is a personal and subjective thing from me, feel free to disagree) I think wordage that says we can get closer to God by degrees are kind of misleading. I’ve come to this realization that God is always so very close, it isn’t that we get closer, or reach the next level with God; I think we’re already there, we just have trouble coming to grips with it (so to speak). It’s splitting hairs, not a huge deal really.
Good stuff though! I liked it, I think you captured the theme you set out for. Keep it up!
