So, developing some things from worship horror moments (when many of us have sung the wrong words) are there any occasions when the right words are sung, but they've been misunderstood? Children tend to be the best at this

To start off...
A friend of mine (when a child) thought that 'master grant' in Make Me A Channel of Your Peace referred to a young boy called Grant, rather than a request to God.

My wife (again as a child) thought the 'rain came down in torrents' in a childrens' song about Noah referred to a place called Torrents (or Torrance).

A friend of mine, although he knew what it meant, felt that ‘defender of the weak’ from ‘Everlasting God’ was synonymous with employee of the month. Took me several months to shake that one.

someone in our morning team had a similar thing with 'defender of the weak'

being a bit of a comedian, he thought it could also refer to an Alan Hansen 'defender of the week' on Match of the Day

having used the song on sunday myself, i have to say that a smile did force its way across my lips as i sang it

I have found myself singing "...for Your glory and your shame" instead of "fame" on that Paul Oakley song a few times! Very embarassing when leading!

Give thanks to the Lord, Our garden King???

And a line in Jesus Christ makes us laugh...But for now, I marvel at your saving grace.

What's a but for? Pooing silly! Tee hee!

Very silly I know.

you lift us up on wings like seagulls.....................

well it seems in some places of America when they say "we're" it sounds like "wee"

I made listening to a Chris Tomlin song with a chorus of "We're in the Father, we're in the Son, we're in the Spirit"..... very interesting to say the least!!

When I suppose everything is worship.... ;)

Chris, its just more fun that way! Or... as I heard a misc. Jewish rabb quoted upon exiting the restroom, “Blessed be the Lord God for giving us holes in our bodies!” Its all worship.

Ha! Like it Gavin :P

I thought a song used to say “hiking eternal…" instead of "high king eternal..."

And I've always thought:

"All to you oh God we bring,
Master Yoda's turn to sing,"

...would work much better :P I'm working in the "Yoda quotes" bit from other forums there...

Jordan :D

"Scellotape,
Scellotape,
Scellotape and string,
Scellotape and string to the king..."
