Hi people,
I've gone from just having a DD5 delay on my pedal board to now also having a Line 6 DL4. There seems to be LOADS of different settings for it and such a wide range of sounds available but I was wondering if anyone could share some settings that they've found to be good for worship stuff, just as a starting point to work from really. Generally we play Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, Tim Hughes style stuff so that's the kind of sounds I'm aiming for.
Settings for the DL4 on its own, or feeding a DD5 into the DL4, would be greatly appreciated. Or any general tips & tricks for using it.
Thanks! :)
Seriously, nobody got any useful settings?! I thought these pedals were on pretty much every worship guitarists board! Haha!

I don't have a DL4, but I use a Line6 HD500.
The delay settings I use are usually the analogue style delays (ie. Memory man copies). You can have the EQ to taste - I have it duller than a straight digital delay, but brighter than how they set it stock for analogue - along with the feedback & decay (ie. how long it lasts and how 'high' it is in your mix... I usually have a few repeats and have it between 50-75% of my initial signal strength at the first repeat).
I then have one standard (1/4 beat) delay set, and another dotted eigth delay set. They're both linked to the tap tempo...

I've got a real Memoryman and the fake one with hazarai. I tend to set my delays for two repeats with the last one fairly faint. I then adjust delay time, mix etc to suit. As for thickening, that's not the delays job IMHO.

Can I echo (like what I did there?) Jakes question... I'm forever playing with settings and never find any that I really want to store forever! Would be great to hear the thoughts of someone who knows what they are doing on the Line 6 DL4.
And if you could suggest anything that any rhythm guitars could use that would be handy, something that is sublet but just helps to thicken out the sound etc.
cheers guys
