This is a song about the fathers love, any feedback would be helpful! (please excuse the bad editing, also the song is recorded a little faster than intended!)
thanks

I recieve your love Eb (capo 3 C)
Verse: Eb Ab Cm Ab
The arms of my Father loving and strong
I’ve found where I belong
Stretched out to meet me with love that will last
I’ve found my home in His hands
Pre chorus: Eb Bb Cm Ab
I’m not holding back this time not holding back
No I’m not holding back this time not holding back
Chorus: Eb Bb Cm Ab
I’m running to you with all I am
I’ve found my home here in your hands
You’re holding me close I can feel your heart
Beating for me and I receive your love
The arms of my Father to truth they guide
I unveil my heart He opens my eyes
Whispering His secrets in sweet embrace
These arms beckon me to His favourite place
I’m not holding back this time not holding back
No I’m not holding back this time not holding back
Tina, I hope you'll allow me (as a newbie to the forum) to offer some thoughts to kick things off?
Thanks for posting your song, it's obviously a heart-felt piece and I applaud the simple honesty it expresses. I like the line "I've found where I belong" which is a strong idea worth examining.
I think a challenge with any song about intimacy is to ensure there is no confusion with spiritual intimacy and that of a more "song of songs" nature (unless it is a song specifically celebrating sexual intimacy). The reason it's difficult is because there can be confusion about the identity (or gender) of the singer, who is being addressed in the song, and also how it might be misinterpreted. Modern pop music particularly is very sexualised, and double meanings are almost to be expected in any songs about love you find in the charts. I wonder if some people more acquainted with this baser end of pop music might find some of the lyrics here a little incongruous or uncomfortable?
Thanks for posting it, I hope the above is helpful!
