After some very useful feedback on "Oh Lord, You are Worthy", thought I'd see if a few of you would indulge me with some criticism of this one too. We've used it at church a few times, and it seemed to go down OK with our worshippers, and I've had some feedback from some christian friends from other churches. They are all too polite though, so you're the next phase! Feel free to comment on any aspect, but one particular thing I can't decide whether I am happy with or not is the use of rhyming couplets throughout. Is it simple and effective, or is it just plain cheesy?? One day I think - yeah, that'll do nicely, the next day - oh dear, what have I done, swallowed a kids nursery rhyme book? Anyway, feedback would be appreciated. The song looks at God's grace, and the mystery of why He loves us so much. Then goes on to our response to that grace and His greatness, finishing up with some excellent responsive lyrics (stolen from Frances Ridley Havergal, 1874), also in rhyming couplets, oddly enough!
