"Glory Falling"

SO this is a song called Glory Falling that I have been working on for the past few months...i think it has great potential as a worship song, but it's just not quite there yet. I would love to get some feedback on it....anything is welcome.

It look's like you don't have Adobe Flash Player installed. Get it now.

Hey there! Any chance you could post the lyrics please thanks :)
I love the syncopated solo. The driving time is also something I have a weakness for liking! Good stuff. The production is super-cala-fragl-istic-expe-ala-docious; the melody is easy to follow and is not boring. I like how it is not too involved lyrically. The only thought I had was tied to the theme of the song, in verse 1 you talk about how “I see your glory…” and “I hear your praise” and “You’re there in everything…” But that seems to stand in contrast with statements like “Lord let your Glory fall” It is a slight observation on my part and may be off. But, to me it seems that to ask for Gods glory to fall and for his presense to be all we see after stating He is everywhere and obvious etc. only weakens the focus of your song’s statement. Personally, I love the mention of how God’s glory is evidenced everywhere. The idea of asking God’s glory to fall/be more evident is very common in worship music. But, I think that can create this sense of distance between the worshiper and God. If you wrote the chorus to follow your first verse I think it would make the song more fresh, focused, and powerful. Just my simple take, no doubt you’re a talented writer and musician though! Keep it up!

I agree with Chris btw, lyrics help! I just had too much coffee this morning so I was feeling ambitious.

Sorry about the Lyrics...here they are.... I see Your Glory all around I hear Your praises ringing out I sing un-ending songs to you Your there in everything I do Lord, let Your Glory fall on me Let Your presence be all I see I need to rest in Your embrace To feel your breath upon my face I feel Free, when You are near to me! I agree about the chorus losing a bit of focus from the verses...any alternative ideas?
sounds good. i wonder about the line 'i sing undending songs'. thats a contradiction really as the songs we sing on earth do end eventually so theyre not really unending? ie do we sing in our sleep?!!! God bless, gav.
I really like this, and have to respectfully disagree with Gav on this point, in that, as songwriters, we often use poetic language and as such my immediate take on that line was that the word "song" was used to represent worship and as such the line to me means "I worship you unendingly" (if undendingly is indeed a word...) Did any one mention to Martin Smith that actually he couldn't sing unending songs about how God saved his soul? After all, he has to eat sometimes, and sleep... ;-)

yeh i think martin s should have changed that line too alex! its just me getting on my soap box really, like the 'forever and a day' lyrics that ive heard aswell in other songs that doesnt make any sense either. sorry to hi-jack this CLriel, its a great song other than that me thinks. cheers, gav.
I think Gav (aka grammar police) ;) has a good point about keeping the grammar logical. If statements are grammatically correct then they are easier to follow; also if they make logical sense they are easier to follow. But I also think Alex is right, I like the idea of poetic and figurative language… It allows us to say more with less words, so… I clearly have no good opinion since I’m torn! I think for the Delirious song it is “I COULD sing unending songs…” the word, could, might relieve the silliness surrounding singing while sleeping! ;) Similarly, for this song, maybe a simple change like, “I’d sing unending songs…” would be a possible solution? Its all about splitting hairs right? Maybe unwarrented...
