Hi there,
I've just recorded some of my songs and would love feedback from other worship musicians. I'm especially interested to hear if people think the songs are suitable for congregational worship, which is what I would love them to be used for.
Thanks a million for taking the time to listen. I look forward to hearing comments, good or bad.
Annie

Hey Annie,
Any chance you could post the lyrics please for all your songs, also you might get more feedback if you post one song at a time. They are sounding great though!

GLORIOUS WONDROUS LORD
(Words & Music: © Annie Moran 2006)
All to Jesus I will give
All for him I choose to live
Save! Transform! Renew! Forgive!
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
In his promise I believe
Love and mercy I receive
Sin and shame through grace relieved
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
Oh let your grace revive me
Wisdom guide me
Love inspire me
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
When through sorrow hope seems lost
Turn my eyes to see the cross
Love displayed at highest cost
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
Send me forth with vision aimed
To speak the gospel unashamed
Love unfettered, faith untamed
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
Oh let your grace revive me
Wisdom guide me
Love inspire me
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
When I face my dark within
Wrestle with familiar sin
May your grace its task begin
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
When my flesh and spirit war
Strength and courage seem no more
I through humble prayers implore
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
Oh let your grace revive me
Wisdom guide me
Love inspire me
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
When my life is at its end
On his promise I depend
Jesus, Saviour, Teacher, Friend
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
All to Jesus I shall give
To transform my life until
His my heart, my soul, my will
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
Oh let your grace revive me
Wisdom guide me
Love inspire me
Glorious, Wondrous Lord
hi annie,
welcome aboard!
this song looks great so far. it reminds me of a hymn. i'll listen to it when it get home from work.
with some tweaks i think it could be a great congregational song. i like the hook of glorious wondrous lord throughout the song.
the line save transform renew forgive following the line all for him i choose to live is confusing. it sounds like you are saying you are saving transforming renewing etc. if you said he saves transforms and he forgives that would make more sense.
some of the other lines are a bit confusing like love unfettered? i think a lot of young people in particular would find that line confusing. any way of using a different word there?
also where you use rhyme a lot some of the lines suffer, ie may your grace its task begin sounds like yoda (ie backwards). dont be afraid to not rhmye some of the lines.
just a gentle encouragement also, its great to post your songs but this site works best if you post one at at time and leave it a couple of wks before posting another song. also if you post comments on other peoples songs aswell that really helps.
keep working on this one its got huge potential. have you used it in your church yet?
God bless,
gav.
Thanks Chris for taking the time to listen and for your encouragement.
Annie
Hi Annie
Lovely hymn.
I wondered if the song was a bit long at first, but I've changed my mind - as a hymn, why shouldn't it have 4 verses! Gav has a couple of good comments on the lyrics - I do agree with him on the third line of verse one. I can't think of a suitable alternative at the mo, but if I do, I'll let you know.
There are some very insiping lyrics in this song too though! Glorious, Wondrous Lord - oh yes indeed!
Is it you playing piano too, by the way?
God bless
Rog
OK - I've been thinking about that line, and all I can come up with is:
"All my failings He forgives". It has an "s" on the end, but I think that's acceptable.
Trouble is, it doesn't really fit the theme of the first 2 lines, and perhaps introduces an element of failure into the stated desire to go "all out" for God? It does lead into the next line quite well though?
Anyway, just an idea! Feel free to bin, or be spurred on, by it!
Rog
PS - I think there are some awesome lyrics in this song - really inspiring - ta
I really enjoy the piano on the song its something you dont really hear too often. This song would be really good for the before service prayer for the church I go to. Keep it up~
