This song is the Lord's prayer and a benediction wrapped together. It has really hit home at our church and has gone through several arrangements. Let me know what you think. I have several more I plan on posting in the near future.

hey matt,
great recording, very powerful.
the main issue i have with the song is the title and use of the word gloria.
to a non christian it might sound like a song to a girl you know called gloria?!!
im not sure gloria is the name above all names? if you said Jesus is the name above all names
that would make more sense.
also im confused by the line bless me for your gloria?
could you post the words of the benediction you mean?
im not trying to be harsh with your songs, i realise it could come across like that as we dont know each other.
i think you have tremendous gifts in songwriting but like all of us could improve on your lyrics.
dont be discouraged, keep writing/singing for the king!
God bless,
gav.
Matt,
I'd agree with Gav that I don't quite get the link between Gloria and "Name above all names". Other than that I think there's a good flow between the sentiments of each verse.
I really like the simplicity of the melody and structure, and the build. The outro is the high point, and I prefer the lines you have in the sung version that begin with "for" each time. My only other comment is that the verse melody varies each time. Tightening up the syllable count/melody accross the verses might help making it easier for a congregation to pick up I think.
Thanks Paul and Gavin. All of those things are very helpful. The lyrics are a typo. It should be "bless me for your glory". The first line is really the word Gloria on its own, meaning all glory to You Lord. Then a separate thought, Name above all names (self explanatory). It makes more sense when you see it on the screen.
