Hi,
Still doing well? Hope so!!
I've always struggled with the tension of writing songs that are both singable (ie by a congregation) and are original (ie not the same three/four chord trick as everything else). That's not because God isn't in the same three/four chord trick, but just 'cos I listen to too much Jazz....
So, here is something that came out in 2003 when I got over my hangups!
Let me know what you think!
Peace

The Lord reigns, lift Him high.

I love the feel of this song, it sounds like it would be really singable without getting boring.
is this a live recording or a studio type mix? I'm loving the way it builds into "The Lord reigns", good stuff :-)
Could you stick the words up so we can have a read through them?
I really like this one so far.
God bless, Rich

Hi Rich,
This was a studio-esque recording. I layered all the rhythm tracks, got a friend to play some keys and the church worship team added their voices for the chorus bits.
Glad it's been a blessing.

verse 2 is brilliant, I would be tempted to use the bridge as a chorus as The chorus to me doesn't really feel like a chorus? (thats prob just me though!)
you have a real gift mate. I love to hear your Scottish accent coming through it.
