hi, This a song ive been working on and off for about 5 months and I cant seem to get any further with, just wondered if anyone had any ideas, I had an idea for a tag for the song to really build into but I feel it didn't work so i;ll just post the words.... Also you may notice a few word changes since I recorded it.... Its now directed to the Father side of God. please again be honest! It will probably be in A but i recorded in G, plus it is just the internal mic on the mac and garageband so dont go off recording quality! Verse1 To be in Your presence, to wait at your feet To know that You are singing over me To bathe in Your Glory, to know that I’m Yours Is life to me. Verse2 I’ll rest in Your presence, I’ll wait at Your feet I know I am safe here under Your wings To You I surrender, from You I receive Your all I need, Father Chorus You are my desire, My greatest treasure, Nothing compares to You. You are my provider My shield and shelter The rock on which I stand, Father Tag (idea) Here at Your feet I will worship Pour out my love songs of worship I give my life for your worship now and evermore Thanks Chris

It look's like you don't have Adobe Flash Player installed. Get it now.

Stop writing catchy songs! :-D Good work again mate. There are so few songs directed to the Father in worship at the moment (maybe I'm just missing them). It's really great the way you've achieved a really beautiful, love song to Him. Top stuff! One thing I will ask is what do you mean by the line 'bathe in Your glory'? Just a question. The words are really moving, some of them could be updated a touch but I think that would take away from the emotion of the song. On a very serious note, I've only just got your last song out of my head. Now I'll have to do it all over again. Keep up the good work, Take it easy, Daniel www.myspace.com/thedanielfrithband
haha! :D thanks for the feedback, I usually write upbeat praise type songs so it was nice for a song to come out that was more intimate. re: bathe in your glory, when I'm worshipping and resting at the throne of God I almost imagine it like bathing in the sun.... but bathing in in His glory and being changed into His likeness. I have some other songs that are catchier so beware! ;) Chris
Hi Chris, Fantastic song mate! Starts off with an intimate and cloistered feel, then bursts forth with a climactic chorus which the church can sing out like an anthem. I personally like the line 'bathe in your glory' because it conveys the idea that God 'showers' His goodness on us, as opposed to 'sprinkling' it: He's a hugely generous God! Keep up the good work
Cheers, Kev Yee
Thanks Kevin, do you feel it needs a tag or another verse or is simple better? As you say with the song building I thought it would be helpful to bring it to a massive tag that people can just pour out passionately. He's hugely generous indeed! Chris
Wicked man well enjoyed that, yeah thats really good. I can't think what to say to improve it. Your voice is really good too.
Thanks mate for the input that's helpful. Chris
Hey Chris, good work again on this, and excellent change from 'Jesus' to 'Father', it makes a lot more Biblical sense with images like the Rock, and the Father singing over me from Zephaniah. I guess my only reservation with it is the first line - I just can't get out of my head the old Noel Richards song that starts pretty much the same way 'To be in your presence, to sit at your feet' and then goes on to have a chorus of 'this is my desire, O Lord, this is my desire...' I think the second verse of the old song starts 'To rest in your presence, not rushing away...' which again is similar to what you have here - I don't know whether you were intentionally doing a more modern version of that song (like Tim does with nicking lines from hymns) or whether it's just been lurking at the back of your sub-conscious whilst writing this! :) Obviously if you've never heard the Noel Richards song ignore me, but maybe there's some way you could tweak the lyrics just slightly to move them away from the old song (unless you are intentionally updating it) it'd give it some more freshness for me and every one else over a certain age... not sure what that is but I bet some young 'uns on this board are saying 'Noel WHO?' !! Do keep polishing this one though, you've got a great gift with melodies, that chorus is excellent. www.RESOUNDworship.org Free New Worship Songs

Hey Matt Erm.... busted! ;) Yeah I should have mentioned....i took the main idea from Noel's song "to be in your presence" as I really like that song and I was using it quite alot in my quiet time which the song was birthed out of, so suppose you could say its kind of a re-write!
ah well that's cool, it is quite a niche song that says something worthwhile, and your version is definitely more modern, so well done for updating it. Guess it's not too much a problem, quite a lot of songs have 'holy, holy, holy' in for example! :) But still, maybe live with it a bit more and see if you can get another lyrical angle on it - I'll be honest and say I certainly can't think of another way of saying 'to be in your presence' than saying 'to be in your presence' but maybe you can think of something with a bit more time. Either way, good song, nice one. www.RESOUNDworship.org Free New Worship Songs

Sorry to tag on the end Matt and Chris, "To be here before You, to wait at Your feet" Would get you away from the Noel Richards thing... Just a thought.
