Great recording!
Hi Dustin,
I think your song would be stronger lyricly if it was somewhere grounded in God's nature and character. Why is God worth worshipping full-heartedly? We've gotta go and do what? As it stands, this song could apply to any religion.
But as the other guys have said - great energy and urgency!
Paul
I Think It's Great. Because It Shows Your Congregation's Personality. That's What We Need More Of. I Don't Want To Copy, Or Strive To Sound Like Hillsong Church, Or New Life Worship, Etc. Not That They Are Not Anointed Teams Of Ministry, They Are. But I Want Our Own Sound, Our Own Words Of Thankyou And Praise. What God's Doing Locally Where We Are, Not Somewhere Else. GOD Is A Personal GOD! And I Want To Express It With Our Own Identity And Personality. Something That Says This Is Ours! Even If It's A Song Already Published And Publically Released To The Church. I Want To Say It Our Way. From Our Hearts.
Brian Doerksen Encouraged, When Questioned About Songwriting, To Write What God's Doing Locally. God Will Take It Global As He Chooses.
Not To Confuse Anyone, I Worship Through All The Great Gifts God Has Given To The Songwriters I Mentioned Above. (Integrity/Hosanna, Survivor/Kingsway, Vineyard, Hillsong, Maranatha, Etc) I Thank God For All Of These Precious Offerings Of Intimacy. Amen.
Thanks For Sharing This Song, And Keep Praisin' HIM In Your Own Way.
Oh, And Go Deeper. There Infinitely More!!!
Little Kevin
