This is a praise song written by Daniel Cody a worship Leader from the Servants of Jesus Community, Sydney Australia. Tim Hughes met Daniel when he was in Australia last year during World Youth Day.
It was recorded live at the Share the Holy Spirit Conference an annual conference in Seven Hills, Sydney Australia.
BLESSED BE THE LORD
Daniel Cody
Blessed be the Lord of Israel
For you are sovereign over all
Blessed be the Lord on Mount Zion
Your chosen dwelling place, my soul
We give you praise and thanksgiving
And we rejoice in your word
Blessed be my Lord and my saviour, redeemer
Blessed be my Jesus, my Lord
Blessed be the Lord, God of Joshua
Who leads us to the Promised Land
Blessed be the Lord of Isaiah
Upon his word we shall stand
Blessed be my Lord and Messiah
Who died to set these captives free
Blessed be my lord and my saviour
Who takes my sins away for me

i think itsgood.
lots of the words mention old testament prophets and images tho so might confuse a few young people.
im not sure how zion is the chosen dwelling place of souls?
good recording and powerful chorus.
upon his word we shall stand might work better the other way round ie we shall stand upon his word?
it sounds a bit like yoda otherwise!
God bless,
gav.
