We recorded this late last year. I would love some feedback on lyrics and the song itself. We find it is a great opening song and really sets the tone for the set.
All Creation Sings (Words and Music by Graham and Joanna Page)
2001 - Psalm 8:1; Psalm 19:1,2; Isaiah 55:12
After reading Psalm 19, I was struck by the fact that there was a constant voice of praise to God going out from creation. As believers we can sing along with nature.
I heard the heavens talking 'bout the king, day after day and night after night
I watched the moon dance with joy for its’ maker, day after day and night after night
I heard the wind sing a psalm of praise, day after day and night after night
I saw the flowers blooming in worship, day after day and night after night
All creation sings, All creation points to the Maker
All creation sings, And I will sing for Him too
I saw the hills sing a joyful song, day after day and night after night
I heard the seas roar, they sang along, day after day and night after night
I watched the ocean swell with His glory, day after day and night after night
I heard the mountains tell of His story, day after day and night after night
Singing Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
I will sing for Him too

hi there,
nice song waveleader, im enjoying listening to it as i type this.
its a fun song with an original approach to this type of message.
for me the main problem is the title. all creation doesnt sing. there are many many non christians that dont sing Praise to God. i know you dont mention humans in teh song but we are Gods creation after all. maybe if you said, 'join creations song' that would make more sense and you wouldnt have to change the melody either.
i love the imagery in the song, i wander if the wind singing a psalm of praise is a bit of a stretch too far tho?
nice recording, good work.
God bless,
gav.

Wow, thanks for the comments and feedback guys.
Gavin - I appreciate your comments. I do understand what you are saying about all creation singing in that "all" is rather inclusive. I was basing this off Psalm 19:1-2 where there is great imagery listed: "skies proclaim the work of his hands, they(skies) pour forth speech, their voice goes out into all the earth." (NIV) Just some lyrical imagery that inspired me.
Chris - Thanks, it is a catchy tune that i find myself humming as well.
Debbie - Appreciate the kind words.

HI Wave,
Nice work! I think the title's fine and the wind imagery is fitting (trees clapping their hands for joy is the leap beyond my norm!). The following two point are really minor and probably only reflect my personal musical style but I think it may benefit from:
1 Splitting the verses in half so you can gather breath (just play four bars or a little hook?)
2 Dropping the instruments when you hit the last line of the chorus (again, just an arrangement thing that I was "expecting" - it would add to the fun element)
In the can :) May it bear much fruit!
John 3.16 --> 1 Jn 3.16 This is love.

Larry, thanks for your feedback. I did wrestle with the "mouthful" that is each verse but since the actual music changes on the 3rd line it is rather hard to break up. Also musically I wanted to be somewhat "wordy" and repetitious to reflect, in a way, the "noise" of"creation" chattering - check out Psalm 19:1,2. I do like the idea of dropping the instruments out on the last line of the verse and may try that when we are performing.
Thankful,

I really like this.
I listened to it when you posted it for a start, but there were a few comments already so I let it go putting any feedback on.
Then, I woke up the other morning singing this in my head and thought I just have to let you know.
Any chance of chords/music, I'd love to give this one a go at my church.
God Bless
Neil
