This is a jam packed few days dedicated to training worship leaders - both in who they are and what they do. Come to be inspired, challenged, have fun and soak up the culture of Worship Central here in Birmingham, leaving with a fresh passion for your craft and for Jesus.

PROGRAMME

The programme is subject to change nearer the time but this gives you a good idea of the daily timetable.

We have designed The Week’s programme to invest in your passion and calling, with enough space to encounter God and allow him to speak to you. Most days will look like this, with a few variations:

8.45am: Doors
Tea & coffee

9.00am: Hubs
Journeying through the week together, discussing things around particular questions and topics

9.45am: Morning session
With worship & space for ministry

11.45am: Coffee break

12.15pm: Masterclasses
Lessons from a pro - we’ll be hearing from various leaders who are experts in their fields

1pm: Lunch (provided)

2.15pm: Streams
Choose one stream to journey through during The Week (more info coming soon)

4.00pm: Hubs

4.45pm: Break & Dinner
A chance to go grab some food and explore Birmingham!

7.30pm: Evening Sessions
These will look slightly different each night - including evenings of prophetic worship and socials.

 

The Sunday will look a little different - we'll kick things off at 6.30pm with everyone attending the St Luke's Gas Street evening service (Worship Central's church home) and then drinks after the gathering.

COST

The total cost of The Week is £195. This includes all training and input, as well as lunch each day.

Refunds

You have a period of 14 calendar days in which you may cancel your booking, starting from the day after the day you receive the email acknowledgement in the case of Event Tickets. Working days means that Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays are not included in this period.

Children

This event is suitable for anyone aged 16+. We ask that anyone attending under the age of 18 comes with an adult responsible for them. If this is not possible, please contact [email protected] Unfortunately we are unable to provide crèche facilities for children or babies.

Reuben Morgan
Reuben Morgan is a church leader and worship pastor. He has written many of the church’s best loved songs, from Mighty To Save to Cornerstone and Christ Is Enough. His songs have been covered by Michael W Smith, Chris Tomlin, Natalie Grant, Jeremy Camp, newsboys, Passion and more. He is a GMA Award winner (Song of the Year: ‘Mighty To Save’) and multiple nominee. He is married to Sarah and they have three children.
John Mark Comer
John Mark Comer lives, works, and writes in the urban core of Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Tammy, and their three children, Jude, Moses, and Sunday. He is the pastor for teaching and vision at Bridgetown Church. Prior to planting Bridgetown, John Mark was the lead pastor of a suburban megachurch. Before that, he played in a band. John Mark has a master's degree in biblical and theological studies from Western Seminary and is the author of Loveology, My Name is Hope, Garden City and his most recent book God Has a Name.
Hannah Miller
Hannah Miller is speaker, trainer and coach. She is passionate about helping people recognise that all of life is ministry - there is no spiritual/ secular divide. She loves to see people, teams and projects develop and be more of what they were made to be, working together excellently and wholeheartedly. She lives on an estate in Birmingham with her husband Sam and three sons.
Guvna B
Guvna B is a double MOBO award winning, Rap and Grime artist from London. Known for his positive, energetic and inspiring lyricism, his breakthrough album Secret World was the UK’s highest charting ‘clean’ rap album in 2015. In 2017 his debut book Unpopular Culture became an Amazon bestseller, and his hit single Nothing But The Blood amassed over 1 million views on YouTube.
Tim Hughes
Tim Hughes co-founded Worship Central and is now the Vicar of St Luke’s Gas Street Church in Birmingham, UK. With a heart and passion to encourage worship in the local church, he has written many songs, including ‘Here I am to Worship’, ‘Beautiful One’ and ‘Happy Day’. Tim is married to Rachel and they have four children.
Anna Hellebronth
Anna is the worship pastor at St. Luke's Gas Street in Birmingham, as well as being part of the Worship Central team as a songwriter and worship leader. Anna is married to Luke.
Luke Hellebronth
Luke leads Worship Central with Tim and is based at St. Luke’s Gas Street Church in Birmingham. He has written many songs including 'Spirit Break Out', 'Ready for You' and 'Stand Up'. Luke is married to Anna.
Josh Gauton
Josh is part of the Worship Central team as a worship leader and the ministry’s Creative Director. He spent the last few years in London leading worship at Holy Trinity Brompton, and is now based in Birmingham as a part of Gas Street Church. Josh released his debut EP, ‘As The Waters Rise’, in 2016.
Nick Herbert
Nick is a songwriter and worship leader whose co-writes include God's Great Dance Floor, Jesus Saves, The Same Power, The Way and Let It Be Known. He is also the Creative Pastor at St Luke's Gas Street in Birmingham. Nick is married to Ali and they have two children; Gracie & Josiah.

Creative Stream // Nick Herbert & Josh Gauton
Journey. More than just a transition from A to B; our work, our relationships and our lives are filled with micro and macro odysseys, intertwining and twisting off in various directions. Come delve into this theme with us over The Week - exploring creativity across disciplines and learning to value, embrace and utilise the journeys we find ourselves on. Expect the unexpected!
Theology Stream // Nick Drake
As well as being skilled musicians and worship leaders it is important that we are reflective practitioners who can think theologically. Come and explore some of the deeper questions of gathered worship and be further equipped to serve the church in worship. Hosted by Nick Drake with special guests.
