Your thoughts

27 Oct 2009

We are buzzing with ideas as we plan and prepare for our Worship Central London conference, 12-13 March 2010. There is so much that we could speak on. So many themes we could explore. It's getting us very excited!

Before we get too far down the planning stage, I'd love to hear from you all. What subjects would you like us to address? What themes would be helpful to you? Would would you like to hear Martin Smith and Mike Pilavachi talk on? What would benefit your teams?

Please feed in your thoughts. We want this to be two days that impact and empower the local Church.

Excited to hear your thoughts.

Lots of requests for Al to look at worship and personal hygiene. A subject Al has battled with valiantly for years!

Tim

Well, 'they' do say that cleanliness is next to Godliness, and who are 'we' to argue?

Martin Smith and Mike Pilavachi are going to be there???!!! Now I'm even more upset I can't be there! Time to move to England...

Hey

Thanks for a great night in Belfast (well Carnmoney)!!!

I think some sort of forum/ seminar on creative ways to incoporate response/prayer in worship. Also vocal workshops with tips on harmonizing would be great :)

I'd like to suggest a soundtrack for Al's talk on Worship and Personal Hygiene.

It's called "Be my Listerine", off the album Jesus Shaves by Weird Al Gordonovich

God in my living, there in my breathing
God in my bathing, God in my cleaning
God in my soapsuds, there in my earbuds
God in my facewash, God in my mouthwash

Be my Listerine, be my Listerine
Be my Listerene, be my Listerine

God in my hairdryer, there in my two-plyer
God in my tooth floss, God in my lip gloss
God in my tweezers, there in my sneezers
God in my facepack, God in my towel rack

Be my Listerine, be my Listerine
Be my Listerene, be my Listerine

Mouthwash in me, mouthwash in me
Mouthwash in me, the hope of hygiene
Be my Listerine

Be my Listerine, be my Listerine
Be my Listerene, be my Listerine
(repeat until clean)

[with apologies to Tim Hughes, God and the makers of Listerine]

Loved that song! And there are some great ideas so far. I would back all the vocal workshop ideas. Question and answer sessions are always helpful. Things for sound technicians too, please!
