It's March! Tim & Al become audio tour guides for the big London conference this month, listen to new song 'God Of All' by Ben Cantelon. Tim interviews Al exploring the key values of worship, followed by an arm wrestle!
NEW MUSIC
As we get ready for the UK Tour I've been putting together a little playlist, so i thought I'd share some great new music I've been enjoying.
1. Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus
This French rock band have put together one of the coolest albums I've heard for ages. Up-beat, great sounds, interesting production - fantastic album.
2. Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More
I'm biased as we know a couple of members of this London band but this is a brilliant album (Was no.1 on itunes album chart last week). Great folk music - powerful, melodic and emotive. I'm loving this.
3. Jay-Z - Empire State of Mind
We saw him support Coldplay a few weeks ago. He was incredible. Have been downloading a few of the singles. This is a great one.
4. Regina Spektor - Laughing With and Human of the Year
Her piano led songs are quirky and engaging. Some thoughtful lyrics and what a voice. Check these songs out.
5. King Charles - Time of Eternity
This is one of the freshest songs I've heard for ages. Amazing. Definitely download it.
Anyway that's some of what I'm listening to. Would love to know what others are enjoying.
I've also been listening to Regina Spektor's Far album. Really loving it!
I think it's such a shame that Mumford & Sons felt it necessary to swear on one of their album tracks. I don't see how it adds anything to the song. That aside I think they have a great sound, love the harmonies! They remind me a bit of Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes.

Yay for Jay Z!!
He was so good at the Coldplay Gigs.
I whole heartedly recommend taking the time to listen to Regina Spektor!!
Such a distinctive voice and a really refreshing approach to her music.
Give ‘Laughing With’ a try...it’ll only take you 3 and bit minutes!

A group I’ve really enjoyed listening to for a little while now is The Storys, like Tim with Mumford & Sons I’m a little biased as I know a couple of the guys involved, but like the name would suggest, they have a fantastic way of ‘story telling’ with their songs and have captured that ‘West Coast’ feel, if you like something a little different!
Try ‘Journey’s End’ and ‘Roll like a Stone’

Also, there’s a young Christian artist from South Wales, Chris Parry, he’s independently recorded his 1st album and has some good tracks on there, again some telling a story aimed at secular listeners and others that are direct praise.
I’d recommend ‘Last Train Home’ and ‘Awesome God’
"I'd take a shack on the rock over a castle on the sand" - Mark Hall
Always good to hear what others are listening to so cheers Tim.
Totally get the whole Regina Spektor and Mumford and Sons.
Currently also little hooked on Noah and The Whale, listening to the new album straight through is a delight.
I was at Greenbelt and was quite excited about a guy called Foy Vance, amazing lyrics and musician. Been listening to his album and various ep alot again, also form Greenbelt a singer song writer called Susan Enan. Stunning voice good lyrics again!
Picking up some seasick Steve too, he's got so much talent why no-one really knew of him sooner is a mystery.
I'm enjoying a little of Madeleine Petroux, Bare Bones, good for me to just chill with. These Broken Hands by Portland, another stunner lyric wise, they are really good.
Frank Turner, Poetry of the deed too has some good lyrics and good drive in the guitar.
Not altogether sure of Black Swan courtesy of Athlete.
Plainsong by Susan Enan will quite possibly be on present lists for every one I know (lucky people, not because they know me but because they're getting the CD). There's a few of things I'm currently enjoying.
Oh and rediscovering Tracy Chapman's stuff, expecially The Promise and India.Arie's Voyage to India. I love it when you've not heard an album for a while and it all comes alive again.
That's all folks
Ephesians 2:10

Tim,
which night were you at Coldplay? I went on the Friday night :) It was as always with Coldplay...immense!
One album I would recommend at the moment....
Third Eye Blind 'URSA Major' - This band have been a favourite of mine for 10 years and have just released this album after having a break. All their albums are so consistently great, every song is just as good as the last, and this album is no exception. Lead singer is a great lyricist as well!
Jay
loving songs on the phoenix album!!
