Our web gurus are updating this site, so chip in your ideas and thoughts below!

love the updates. Few thoughts; - ability to delete comments - apple iPhone app =] apart from that, i love how this site is developing. It's such a blessing and a great recourse! Tom
Tom mate, what are you doing up at 7.27 in the summer hols? Yeah I think it's great. Can people submit sound bites onto other peoples songs? I havn't checked recently, but I'm not sure if there is anything practicle people can do in the clinic when people submit a weak melody and you think you have one which they could have... Don't know if anyone else agrees with that.
Hi Al! I really enjoy reading your blogs - so please keep them coming and if they can be a bit more frequent that would be fantastic. On the forum front - how about full integration with 'He Must Increase'? :-) On a serious note i've noticed that the site is sometimes very slow to load and times out occasionally, and other times it works speedily and fine. How about having a recommended websites area, either on the homepage or within your blog and Tim's blog? This way we could see which websites you both appreciate and use to keep up with the latest developments and thoughts on worship in this web 2.0 era. I'm putting a lot of time into keeping 'Worship The Rock' and 'He Must Increase' up to date and always trying to find new ways of serving more worship leaders both in the UK and abroad. Anyway we can get the word out about sites like these is really helpful. (One way you could achieve this would be to remove the "no follow" attribute when people comment on your blogs - this would then help support website owners and bloggers when they post their web links) The only other thing that springs to mind is to have RSS feeds. I think you used to have these but yesterday I was looking for them and couldn't see where they were? If I think of anything else i'll let you know. Hope these help with your planning. the new songwriting clinic doesnt allow you to see who wrote each song unless you go into the link, it used to show who wrote them by the side of the topic. cheers, gav.
Matt unfortunately I don't have school holidays. I work full time for H&M, so that's why i was up at that time!
Just thought of another one... Would be good if we could share some of the resources on other sites. So for example someone recommended I post one of the instructional guitar videos on He Must Increase but there doesn't seem to be any 'embed' code and I couldn't find it on YouTube. Just a thought! For me the central resources, blogs, podcasts and videos are brilliant on Worship Central. But I must admit I find the day-to-day ideas, thoughts and information flow on the forum one of the most useful aspects of the site. The 'Tracking' and 'Watched Posts' features are really useful in keeping an eye on interesting threads, but one small thing I think would help would be to increase the number of threads on the main frontpage of WC. At the moment it has just the three most recently updated threads, but things on the forum can often move quickly. How about five or even ten? And how about making that frontpage forum update a bit more information rich by adding the time and date each of those threads were last updated? That way I can load the frontpage of WC and see instantly when the five or ten most recent threads were posted and at what time.

Oh, and another thought: it would be good to be able to use very simple html commands for italics and bold within threads.

Um, I don't notice anything different about the site. Have the changes already been made? If so, I must just be out of it. Jessica

Jessica: The changes are subtle but definately noticable, just need to look out for them :P As far as improvements go, it would be great for there to be a resource of tabs for the lead guitar parts in the guitar tutorials and indeed in new ones to come, just cos this makes life easier for myself and other guitarists than trying to guess/hear exactly what the guitarist is playing, possible but v time consuming. Also maybe not best possible but maybe you could have a list of songs (maybe just expand the 'newsong' section) and next to them the chord sheets, a link to any instructional video's, a link to tabs and a link to maybe a story of how the song is written, the musical arrangements recommended and maybe comments on where in the set it works well or what key it is best in for congregations of various sizes, etc. But so far WC is really amazing and has helped me grow no end. Thanks so much guys! James
