BLOG // TIM HUGHES
TOUR // SWANSEA
With the middle name Llewelyn there is obviously some Welsh blood in me - so it was amazing to be in Swansea for the night. Cramming into the venue, we had one of those fantastic nights - passionate worship, great fun, responsive people. A very encouraging time.
The day started with me waking up with my right eye in agony. I could barely open it, and was bracing myself to lead with an eye patch. Pirate worship! After visiting the doctor, I was then sent off to an optician before getting some anti-biotic's from the doctor. Long and short of it - I think i'll live - but very annoying as I wasted a lot of the day going back and forth.
I also got through the mixes to the new Soul Survivor album. It's called 'Complete' and is sounding fantastic.
Anyway we loved Wales...

24Oct08Hey Tim, just to say, I was totally glad to see Steve Harding being with you guys in Swansea. It was a great time. By the way, "Anyway we loved Wales..."??? WHAT?!?
However, a couple of friends and members of my church will debate over the issue of tongues (though I have no quibs over it) as to whether it is relevant to today or if it still available.
I certainly believe that there are still loads of people who need saving and therefore tongues will be essential at a certain time of where our ministry encounters people of a different tongue to us. Still, the main factors of the evening was to first bring those who are not Christians to Christ, secondly, pray for those, who are in Christ, over the issues which can be frustrating (I certainly can say that I'm in that area for different reasons) and then thirdly, pray for whatever is needed to prayed, finance, etc. And to be fair, none that I know, would disagree with me saying it in that order for I am certain that by looking at a classic prayer drill which I remember, STOP is S=Sorry, T=Thank you, O=Others, P=Please and we need to constantly remember that in our prayers.
Anyway, I hope that you keep going good over the next few years mate. And I'll love to help out with you if you want my help. AJ

24Oct08So glad you guys came. Tim managed the eye condition well - it must have been tricky.
I was praying for him at the start of the meeting.
Tim's & Al's talk was spot-on last night. It was very relevant to me.
It would be all too easy to give up. Great to have the chance to respond. Thank you.
Make sure you guys get some much deserved REST!!
p.s. Having a website like this is a fantastic source of encouragement.

24Oct08Hey just a reminder about the issue over tongues. Read 1 Corinthians 14:22-25
It help regarding about certain issues.
ROSE - I totally agree with you on that about Tim's and Al's talk. It was extremely helpful and now that you've mentioned it, I wonder if Tim and Al will place that talk online? Come on boys, it may be helpful to jog our memories to remember exactly what you said. I've forgotten parts of it. But the main part I totally remember is to persevere even when we feel like it's not worth going for it.

24Oct08Echo the words above, it was a 1st class night of worship! Sorry for all those who came from Cardiff for the booing... we are just passionate about our city.
The worship was awesome, very cramped and was glad (as was most of the crowd) to sit down and judging by the groans when we all got back up on our feet was glad to stretch again. The time spent worshipping God was 2nd to none Well Done Tim & Al (plus the fab band!) Not a sheet of music to be seen.
Looking forward to the next WC wherever it will be!
RESPECT,
Woodie
