TOUR // BELFAST

The first part of our Worship Central UK Tour has finished with a great night in Belfast. We’re all pretty exhausted but thrilled with all that’s been going on.

Tonight we were at Carnmoney Presbyterian Church. It was great to see the building packed with young and old; the night was a real journey. By the end of the evening there was a real sense of God’s call on our lives and an excitement about what He is doing in His Church today. It was wonderful to see.

There was a hilarious story – a little old lady in her nineties turned up looking ever so slightly confused. When she was given her hand stamp she looked baffled as she was led to the front row, right in the front of all the speakers. She seemed to love the night though. Totally getting into ‘Happy Day’ and ‘Dancing Generation.’ It wasn’t until after the evening that we found out she was turning up for what she thought was a John Wesley hymn singing night. She’d got her dates wrong and it’s actually next Saturday night that the church will host the John Wesley celebration. What on earth she must have made of the evening I have no idea. She seemed to have fun though!

We also managed a quick visit to the Avalon Guitar factory. They make incredible guitars. Was great to play a few. The Americano's are amazing.

Thought I’d give you a quick run through the team we’re traveling with.

Drums – Ben Bryant (Man U fan, ex-young percussionist of the year)

Bass – Luke Hellebronth (1 inch off being a giant!)

Keys – Steve Harding (Great beard, Matthew Kelly look-a-like)

Electric 1 – Tim Last (Has long hair and a beard but is cultured, produces the podcast)

Electric 2 – Steve Evans (Russell Brand look-a-like, has a sparkly guitar)

Vocals – Nikki Fletcher (New to the team all the way from Oz, amazing Worship Leader)

Sound Engineer – Chris Jones (Looks like Ben Bryant. Usually mixes much bigger bands than us – Franz Ferdinand, White Stripes, Sigur Ros)

Production Manager – Matt Sales (Priceless, our hero, has a sprained ankle)

Tour Manager – Rachel Abraham (Basically the boss of everything. Don’t mess!)

Event Manager – Shelley Hartland (Another Oz, is the first on the door)

Resources – Tom Smith (Eye-brow ring, loves nights in with a duvet watching Sex and the City)

Intern – Robbie Hardingham (Looks about 9, unbelievably cheeky!)

Then there’s myself and Al – the only sane people here!

Glad you all had fun watching Sex and the city with Tom at night on the bus!

Guess Im a bit late getting in touch with you, maybe its something to do with my age. Anyway guys, I absolutely loved everything you did, it was completely awesome!!! As for my age, 52, and I am trying to introduce my husband to our Lord and yes he did attend your concert and I think enjoyed it. Happy days Tim when I can, with the help of our Lord, get him to give his life to God.
