Thoughts from America

We've been here a week so far and are having a great time in the States.

We started in L.A at Saddleback and were part of the Purpose Driven Worship Conference. It was exciting to see what God is doing amongst worship leaders there.

We then flew in to Baltimore and drove for hours to get to a festival called Creation East. In the middle of nowhere 80,000 young people gathered for a music festival. We had a good time there.

During these 2 events it's been fun hanging out with a guy called Matt Maher. He's written some great songs, 'Your grace is enough,' and ' For Your glory.' He's a Catholic worship leader from Pheonix and it's been great chatting to him about song writing, liturgy and leading worship. To find out more about him check out his website mattmaher.com

We're now in Louisville, Kentucky and have just led worship at a great church. It had the most amazing auditorium I've ever seen.

Have been challenged whilst here to keep investing in my gifts. Sometimes I can get really complacent in things such as my musicality and the way in which I song write. We've spent the week with some amazing musicians who keep pushing themselves to be the best. Maybe it means investing more time, more resources into gear - whatever it takes to keep aiming for excellence. As worship leaders we need to find the best and most creative ways to lead people in praise and worship. Let's never settle!

hey man, cheers for that. Do you reckon at some point you could post the equipment you best like to use, and maybe what your band uses. often its hard to get a decent sound, and inspiration from other musicians choices can come in very handy!

God Bless.

Hi. Wow... I was on Holy Trinity site, and felt like i should let you know, that, through God's compassion and your amazing and peaceful voice I have found my way back to my spiritualism, since I had a hard time last year, and just decided pop in the church on sunday service, i felt an amazing change on my heart, and so I keep going... no matter what I do on the previous day, no matter what time I go to bed... I just have to go on the sunday services at 11.30, I love it!! God bless you for attending your call, and doing it so beautifully.

Hey Tim - I was at the Saddleback Conference this year (and I had fun singing in the choir with you last year - did you hear me? LOL) Anyway, I was very moved by the speech you play during one of your songs and show the words on the screen. Can you tell me who that is speaking and where I can get my hands on it? I'd love to use it in our own worship service if possible.

I also wanted to encourage you and tell you what a great time of worship we had. The Lord used you to bless those of us attending and I appreciated your readiness - your willingness to be used and moved by the Spirit. I enjoyed being able to let go and come before my God unashamed. Thank you for using your talents to glorify the Lord.

The best melody the best lyrics the best music for the best and greatest God.

You are a blessing Tim - I'll pray that your music continue to inspire, bless, and stir people to worship God in more beautiful and exciting ways.

Tim,

I attended your concert at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY and it was AMAZING. I have to admit I had never heard your music before, but my fiance suggested that we go... and I am SO glad we did. I was moved to tears (literally) by your music. When I worship I don't raise my hands or jump around, but I cry ... and I definitely did. I also got the opportunity to meet you and your amazing band. You guys were very nice and signed my CD for me. Ever since then I have been listening to it non stop! I am so glad that God uses you for his ministry and that you chose to come here to worship with us.

God bless you :)
