TOUR // YORK
Well having polished off a great curry we're back on the bus after a great night in York. St. Michael's-the-Belfry was packed as people came from all over the north to join us for a night of worship.
It's been encouraging to see the passion and to hear some of the stories of all that God is doing. In the afternoon we had a Worship Pastor Gathering for key leaders around the area. It's such a great time to share ideas and dream about what we'd love to see happen in our churches. It makes me think that if we could begin to work together more - different denominations, cultures and hearts, then we really could begin to see amazing transformation.
Last time I led worship at St. Michael's-the-Belfry, it was with Soul Survivor. On that night Mike Pilavachi at one point invited everyone to dance on the pews. We had to stop the worship though when one kid went right through a listed pew that was around 500 years old. It was totally priceless!! The church were very happy to see us leave without destroying anything this time!
If you were in York do drop us a note. Was great seeing you.

16Oct08I was there. Thought it was mint. Really ace to be worshipping with such passion mid-week in the centre of York, where so many people will walk past and hear it. P.s. I recommend that CD you were given ;)

17Oct08What an awesome night! Well done team. Al and Tim - the quality and clarity of the teaching was inspirational. Thank you.
(Tim, you may have been forgiven for the pew incident at St Mike's but I hear you're now banned from every Chinese restaurant in York!)
Tim & Al... the church's answer to Ant & Dec!

17Oct08Tim, thanks to you and the team for a fantastic night of worship and teaching - as the church wardens appear to have forgiven you, please come back more often! Any chance of putting a transcript of the teaching on the site - you can leave the bit about the Beijing Olympics out if you want!

18Oct08I'll second that request. So much useful stuff, insightful quotes and inspiring stories I was kicking myself for not bringing along a notepad and pen. Please do either put up a transcript or a podcast.
