ASIA DAY TWO
It felt so good to get some good sleep after a long day traveling. After a bit of a lazy morning we headed off to the venue to set up. It's a pretty cool venue - a kind of glorified tent. It has an amazing sound system and has been purpose built for things such as events, concerts and conventions. Tonight was the first night it has ever been used. Builders, workmen and electricians have literally been working through the clock to finish it for Worship Central, and it came together - just.
We had a fantastic first night. About 1500 worshipers gathered together. There's something so exciting about connecting with a people group from the other side of the world - the name of Jesus being the one unifying theme. The passion of the Philippino people is amazing; whole-hearted, committed and abandoned in their worship. There was a moment when singing 'Here I am to worship,' where i could not believe how loudly they were singing.
We had a really special time praying for worship leaders from around the city. The worship community keeps growing and here are a people who have a lot to teach us.
Tomorrow we'll start the Worship Central day conference. Keep praying for us. Something remarkable is happening.

robert:
Thank you for a wonderful teachings on How to make a song to be offered to God. You're group as i've seen is really fantastic and that the gift of the spirit is really great in you.
Continue your vision of diffusing GOD's love. Like you, we may be able to help to claim the world with JESUS.
Looking forward to meet you again someday.
GOD BLESS US all.

As a worship leader for more than a decade, i’ve attended countless concerts, conferences, and events. By far, An Evening of Worship with Tim Hughes redefined the way i view Christian events. While most of the events i’ve attended are more about performance, music, entertainment, and the hype… your event was a breath of fresh air because it was centered in worshipping Him.
Tim and Al: Thanks for coming to Manila and hosting Worship Central Saturday! When you guys get the time, kindly check the post i made on my site about your event. Thanks.
Blessings and warm regards.
Nathanael Bulatao:
Ey Tim and the rest of the people that made the worship central conference here in the Philipiines successful, thank you guys!
You guys really helped our church band and we are now exited to apply all the things that we have learned from you and your band.
I want to learn more things from you guys.

Charis A. Martinez:
I am really so blessed up to this time!
I thank God for bringing here in Philippines. 'Coz before you came here, i had a problem in leading the worship. I just don't know why and what is it.. but i was just feeling dry.. But i thank God, that he used y'all guys to build me up. And i am so glad!
Too bad i wasn't able to have a picture with you guys, haha!
Keep on keeping on doing the things that God wants you to do. More blessings to y'all guys!
Hope to see y'all again soon.. ♫♫♫
Christian:
Ey Tim and the rest of the gang! The Worship Central conference was AMAZING! It really helped me as a worship leader (though I was not able to attend the friday night because of my graduation and I had to go halfway through the Saturday because of our youth service) and I noticed the simplicity of your (and Al's) worship leading. I really learned a lot! I hope that you could come back and do a longer series of workshops here.
God bless to all of you! May more songs be birthed through your passion for Jesus.
BTW...Al Gordon's Because Of Your Love is really stuck in my head right now. It makes so much perfect sense to me...
Stefan Suarez:
Hi from the armpit guy (the guy in yellow who was crazy enough to bring his little baby into the tent) !
We were blessed, learned a lot, but most of all, we (my wife and I plus our friends who were with us) really received so much impartation from u guys and will be carrying that home with us to our sunday worship at our local church.. (url above)
You said during the lunch that you wanted to stay connected with churches worldwide and also know what the needs of the churches here are.. I can email at length about that (just couldn't articulate it at that moment..) and would love to keep talking (and asking and nagging..) about worship, common challenges worship pastors face leading their teams, and the battle to keep our hearts in the right place..
I think I was able to tell Beth a lot about that (Hi beth!) and learned TONS from her too!
Wish you guys could've stayed longer! Go bless the nations!
Jesus rocks so much. He's so ... so.. aarrgh... what's the word..
...let's spend the rest of our lives filling in those words.. and then singing them out!

Tim,
This is Jon, Worship Pastor at Greenhills Christian Fellowship. I thank God for a time He allowed me to have with you- a nice chat over lunch during the conference.
The Lord has used our talk and the conference to add fuel to the fire of worship in my heart.
You have no idea how many countless lives have been moved, equipped, and empowered at the conference.
I hope I could visit HTB sometime soon.
Have a blessed time in Singapore!
Jordan de Laune:
Glad to hear you got some sleep! Are they using that new digital sound desk that Matt Sales was talking about? It sounded pretty sweet.
Hope you getting some photo's. Sounds like an awesome experience. I think we should start Web Central. Equipping the web developer to glorify God one page at a time lol Hmm I digress quickly.
I pray things continue to go smoothly and that God really speaks to you guys in a powerful way.
Limey:
On my way to work yesterday in Pasig, Manila, I passed by the huge "Worship Central" banner in front of the tent where thousands would gather to lift up the Name of Jesus.
I can see the tent from my apartment, and have been curious for months as I have watched workers work tireless hours to raise it up. What was it going to be? Another shopping center? A restaurant?
All of these curious ideas disappeared when I saw the banner and realized that this tent would host thousands of people from around the city as they raised their voices and hearts in wholehearted worship and praise to our Glorious Father in Heaven.
I am reminded of Exodus, when Moses and the Israelites were building the Tabernacle and raised up a Tent of Meeting where the Glory of the Lord could dwell. "Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to his tent." As the Spirit of the Lord falls upon the worshipers in the tent below today, I, too, can stand and worship the Holiest of Holies, my God and my King, from my own "tent."
As I type this, my apartment windows are beating with the sounds of worship coming from the tent below, my heart is filled with joy, and I am smiling in awe and praise for my Creator, Lord, and Savior.
To God be the Glory forever, Amen!
