ASIA DAY FOUR
We’re in the air, flying to Singapore. I’m sat next to Al. I’m watching a deep film about fighting racism in the US in the 30’s. He’s watching a shallow Romantic comedy!
We’ve finished our time in Manila, have met some wonderful people and are excited by what God is doing. In the morning we joined with the local church - ‘Building Bridges,’ and dedicated their new venue. Right at the heart of Manila this tent will be the home of their church as well as being used for conventions, concerts and events. During the dedication service I spoke and mentioned the Westminster Catechism - ‘The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.’ The Bishop leading the service mentioned afterwards that by changing one word of that statement you could be even more profound - ‘The chief end of man is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever.’ It’s an interesting thought. God is glorified when we learn to enjoy Him - His creation, His faithfulness, His perfect character, His endless mercy, and His great love.
Anyway it’s been a great few days in Manila. I better go, as Al is needing tissues. It’s obviously an emotional film…

Justin:
That's awesome...oh Al! It's so encouraging to read about how God is using you and Al to reveal Himself to people all over the world. Now come back to the U.S. please!
Blessings my brothers...
Justin
travis ham:
Sounds like that Bishop has been reading John Piper. Good stuff!
Alex Boxall:
I'm glad to hear that God is using you both and worship central all around the world!
PS: There's nothing wrong with crying in a good film! ; )
