THOUGHTS, MUSINGS & ALL THINGS RANDOM.
So my computer has died
16Jul08
Apologies for the total lack of posting, comments or anything since Sat. I woke up Sat AM to find that my computer had totally freaked out and was not starting. It's been in rehab since then and so I'm writing this on a PDA. I'm desperate to hear all the songs and can't wait to chip in some thoughts.

16Jul08What audio interface do you recommend?
I would love to put some songs on the site however I first need to buy a interface. I do not know much about this and would love some help in this area. From what I have found out so far is minimal but I think budget wise I am looking at a two channel XLR with maybe some jacks inputs too. Eventually I would love to be able to record the church services and so maybe it is more cost effective to get something with more channels now rather than later?
What do you recommend?
Thx

17Jul08I used an Edirol FA-66. It's very nice and works great in GarageBand / Logic.

17Jul08Thanks Jords, I have taken a look at this on the Net. It seems to be a great choice. Can you confirm with me if it works on PC (Windows XP) which I know I should not dare to even mention within the same discussion as mighty Mac's. On the net it says it is comapatible with Mac's as you mentioned above.
Cheers for the feed back!

18Jul08From reading the roland website it looks like there are drivers available for Windows XP. Plus your machine would need a firewire-4 port and not many PCs have those.
