We're excited to be involved in a pioneering new MA course for Worship Leaders, at King's College, London.

We've been working with the good people at King's to input into the practical side of the MA, which is aimed at worship leaders seeking to deepen their understanding of their roie, both theologically and practically.

New MA for Worship Leaders

King’s College, London have launched an MA for Worship Leaders. The MA in Contemporary Worship builds on the success of the MA in Youth Ministry and Theological Education.

Ten years ago King’s pioneered postgraduate study for Youth Ministers. The recent trend for Churches to employ Worship leaders means that there is now a need for a similar kind of theological education which is specifically focused on the theology and practice of worship.

Kings have appointed James Steven as Lecturer in Theology and Ministry and he will be the director of the MA in Contemporary Worship. James has been lecturer in Worship at Trinity College Bristol and he is the author of ‘Worship in the Spirit: Charismatic Worship in the Church of England’ (Carlisle: Paternoster Press, 2002)

The MA in Contemporary Worship has been designed with in put from Tim Hughes and Al Gordon from Worship Central.

The MA in Contemporary Worship forms part of a group of new MA’s in Theology and Ministry designed for clergy, youth ministers, worship leaders and those working in Christian charities and organisations.
