I made changes based on the great input I received. The revised lyrics are below, along with a summary of the changes. Thanks!
Verse 1
Your voice, oh Lord, stirs the sea
We are ex-pats living in one of the most beautiful areas of Greece but there is not a single English language church of any description for around 300 kms.
After listening to the last Podcast, and heard Tim / Al mention their Top5 CD's of 2008, and thought that I would check them out myself. I too was captivated by Jon Foreman’s Summer EP.
this one's inspired by isaiah 40:13 and psalm 51:17
chorus
i will lift you up on eagle's wings
i am a stranger in this land
you seem to be my only friend
i surrender all that i am
conquer them with your kindness
overcome them with your patience
speak to them in your silence
shame them with your gentleness
embarrass them with your grace
make them jealous that you are mine
hi guys,
recorded this one today, the verses and melody came somewhere on the m54 heading into wales on the bank holiday weekend! a bit more traditional than my usual output...
Chorus
Hi there,
This a new one meditative one perhaps with congregational potential, the chords are Am Em G D
i run to you
i run to you
ocean so wide
ocean so deep
your love for me
Lord, let me be silent
when my desire to judge
exceeds my capacity to love
when my pleasure in speaking
exceeds my ability to listen
when my satisfaction in teaching
Maybe heading out on a theological limb here, but can i suggest that a sense of humour is one of aspects of our character that God wants to redeem and make fruitful.
There seems to be a recurring theme with my posts but it is something I care deeply about.
Is this song Theologically sound? & Is this song congregational?
the world needs your love
like a desert needs rain
the world needs your comfort
to embrace its pain
the world needs your beauty
to know what it is
i need your strength to live
if i could see your journey
i would not have said those things
if you could see my journey
you would forgive everything
if we could see His journey
we would not fail to pray
over the decades, experience has taught me that when giving feedback in any sphere
(songwriting, behaviour etc)
the following advice has helped me to prosper
love is the highest wisdom
the deepest knowledge
the most precious truth
which grows in the giving
crossing the infinity
between light and darkness
hope and despair
do not hurt others
when you are hurting
I am your healer and recompense
I see the women crying
I see the children dying
and restrain my hand
for mercy's sake
i posted some songs on the site for the first time recently and found myself reflecting on the nature of criticism, these were my thoughts:
heavenly criticism
i praise you through the ages
you remain unchanged
you paid the price now i am forgiven
i am free to walk in peace
with your love poured into my heart
i can give to those in need

love is supreme, love is supreme
today, today, today
you are supreme, you are supreme
my strength and shield and great reward
love is supreme, love is supreme
father and son and holy spirit
Jesus loves me.
OK folks, this is my first post so go easy on me.
This is my arrangement of the traditional hymn with an additional verse.
The second verse is:
Jesus loves me this I know
Hi, I'd love some feedback on this song. It is relatively new and I don't have the form cracked just yet but it is a basic blueprint. Thanks!

How Can I not Just Bow Down
You're the Holy One
You're the Holy One, Jesus God's only Son
Prince of Peace Mighty God who saves
Father Spirit Son, God the 3 in One
You made the earth yet know every word I say
Please help, I am in serious need of a new workstation! Previously we have made do at church with a Clav stage piano and the time has come for me to move into the world of a new workstation.
VERSE 1:
Great is the darkness on earth
But greater is Your light, greater is Your light
So teach my heart to be still
And know that You are God, know that You are God
VERSE 2:
