Mark - they talk about copyrighting songs in one of the first worshipcentral podcasts - I think you have to put a copy of the music and lyrics in a letter, with a date on the inside, and send it to yourself.
(or something like that)
Mark - once you've written a song, it is copyright to you by law, you don't have to do anything to it. Some people recommend posting yourself a copy of the music by recorded delivery so it's date-marked, but not opening it, so you've got it as proof of when you've written the song. I personally wouldn't bother as that seems like too much hard work and it's a lot easier to just "copyright Mark Rhodes" on the bottom of the music!
Matt, but then if someone else heard the song and said that they wrote it you would have to prove somehow that you wrote it - it would be your word against theirs...and so sending yourself a copy of the music, as you say, isn't that difficult to ensure that you have proof of copyright.
Awesome worship song. Beautiful, truthful, and simplistic. What worship should be about!
Hey Mark...
Just to help you with your copyright question - I am a lecturer in music technology, and deal with this issue a lot
The best way to copyright is to register your music through the P.R.S, but will cost you a fair bit of cash. A good cost-cutting way is to send a copy of the music (written & audio) to yourself REGISTERED delivery - that way you get a reciept, and the mailing company have a record of it.

An amazing song Ben!! I was hoping this would be put on here! It sounds cool acoustic. : ) Keep up the good work.
